College Counseling FAQ

When should we start college admissions prep?

Families should start preparing for high school admissions in April, May, or June of the year before they plan to apply. You would need at least a year for solid preparation.

When parents work with us for their first child, they always come back with their younger ones. That’s the best sign that we’re doing something right! We take pride in our highly personalized approach to college counseling. We believe in understanding each student’s individual strengths, interests, and goals to help them present their most authentic selves in applications. We are committed to supporting your child throughout the process and are always accessible for questions and guidance.

We understand the demands on high school students. That’s why we offer flexible scheduling for our counseling sessions, including evenings and weekends. Our priority is to integrate seamlessly into your child’s existing routine, minimizing stress and maximizing efficiency.

Absolutely. We work with students of all learning levels and styles. We can provide additional academic support, tutoring, and identify colleges that offer the necessary resources to support your child’s individual needs. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed in higher education.

We know you are feeling overwhelmed by college terms like ED1, ED2, and EA. We’ll make it all crystal clear and guide you step by step. The very first step to take, though, is to book a consultation with our team.

GPA requirements can vary significantly between colleges. At Zinkerz we conduct an initial assessment that provides a snapshot of the student’s academic standing.

You can schedule a consultation to receive more detailed information on our current courses and prices.

A typical session starts with getting to know you – we’ll work on your resume, talk about your interests and activities, and plan your school path together. Our first meetings are all about understanding who you are and where you want to go.

We guide transfer students from both U.S. and international schools to find their ideal college fit. Every student’s path is different, and we’re here to help you find yours.
