Since coding is becoming an important 21st-century skill, all students should have some exposure. Zinkerz Coding Camp is designed for students entering 9th or 10th grade. And no coding experience is required!
We evaluate student’s initial coding skills using an assessment to determine which coding language to start with. We then place them in small groups. Their coding skills are continuously put to the test through a series of project-based learning activities.
Zinkerz Coding Camp is specifically geared toward advancing in AP Computer Science Principles. Students leave with a completed AP project and can then focus their time on other parts of the course.
Zinkerz Coding Camp students learn everything from loops to Boolean to parameters and methods. Students will become familiar with how programs work independently and in connection with other programs.
